Some people tend to be concerned about getting cancer and other diseases. They want to know how to prevent the diseases. Scientists have found that antioxidant help fight diseases. So I will tell you about some foods that are good to help prevent disease.
Cranberries- in pill, juice or berry form are high in vitamin C. In years past we have used all the above for breast infections, colds sore throats and yeast infections. My kids like eating the frozen berries and I prefer the capsule. The day we feel a sickness coming on we eat or drink a lot of cranberry and the next day we feel as good as new. You must do this as soon as you feel the least bit sick and knock it right away. Why does cranberry work? Cranberry works because it is high in vitamin C and is also an antioxidant.
Blueberries- Blueberries are another food with antioxidants called anthocyanins . Blueberries are the only cook I know of that keep all their vitamins whether you eat them fresh, frozen or cooked. Blueberries are cousins to the European bilberry. Blues berries are great for the eyes and helping with night blindness. As long as I constantly eat blueberries or take bilberry I see much better.
Flax seed – Flax seed oil is great for your heart and is also, rich in plant extrogens called lingams. Flax is an antioxidant that could prevent cancer. Flax is a great form of soluble fiber so it lowers cholesterol. I have also, found that when I have very dry skin an add flax to my diet in a few days my skin doesn’t itch anymore. Add 2 tablespoons of flax seed to your food everyday in juice or cereal it Flax seed whole or ground also, help with constipation and cholesterol. Flaxseed oil doesn’t contain fiber- So reach for the seed – 2 Tablespoons a day is plenty.
Another great food to keep around is Cayenne Pepper or Cayenne Pepper pills. In chili peppers there is a substance call capsaicin. The capsaicin tend to disarm carcinogens in some the food your eat. I.e. when charbroiling for example. People that get shingles find using capsaicin ointments relieves the pain. Cayenne Pepper is also good for circulation. You can use the powder of the food (cheaper) or capsules to help prevent cancer and help with circulation.
Garlic is great for boosting your immune system. Garlic oil is great for ear infection. A Few drops into ear can kill the infection. Also, when I had sick babies with colds or flu, I would rub garlic oil on the soils of there feet helps fit infection. Garlic tastes great in soup, on bread, spaghetti etc. Find great ways to serve garlic and improve your health. You don’t want to eat more them one raw garlic clove a day because it could burn your stomach.
Purple grapes are a great antioxidant called flavoniods . Grape juice is jut a good of a blood thinner as aspirin preventing heart attacks. Grape juice is a great drink for those who choose not to drink wine.
In conclusion cranberry, blue berries, flax seed, cayenne pepper, garlic and purple grapes are full of antioxidants and could help prevent cancer and other disease. What’s more they taste great too.
