What do you do while life is different between Christmas and New Years?
This year we started making bread... My 11 year old loves to cook and bake,
so I decided to get out the bread recipe that I use to make years ago. The kids
were saying yuck, who puts cottage cheese and eggs in bread... I told them that
there older siblings use to fight over this bread... It never lasted long. Well,
sure enough... I put the bread in the oven... took it out of the oven ... and then
I had somewhere to go. When I got home a quarter of a loaf was left out of 2 loaves.
We made it today and again the same thing happened. If I don't get up early tomorrow,
I won't get any of this bread either.
Next time I think we will make cinnamon raisin bread.
What did you do this week to have fun with the kids?
True a 10 starter set today
I have been using L'Bri pure and natural products for 5 years. I love the fact that we do not pay for water. Our first ingredient is Aloe Vera, it is very cleaning and safe for the skin. When I started using the aloe products someone asked me if I had a new face. I was amazed that I looked that much better. I now have a L'Bri home business and would like to share our aloe based skincare with everyone.

Favorite thing to do in winter.
In winter our family loves to have tea parties... We make a treat and have it with tea mid afternoon.
When the weather is above zero we like to play outside... sledding and making tunnels and snowmen.
I like to bring out my knitting... the knitting is fun and it, also, keeps me warm...

5 tips to Improve your Dry Skin
What is the first thing people notice when they look at you? Your skin of course.
IF you want you skin to improve you need to wash it daily.
1. The first thing you want to do is to ex foliate your skin... Why you say... you wash
our face everyday. Sometimes twice a day... Well, ex foliating your skin takes off the
dead skin cells, leaving your vibrant glowing skin for all to see. Your body sloughs off
dead skin cells ever 2 days to a week, depending on how old you are. These skin cells
are what makes your skin drab.
2. Make sure that you use lots of aloe based skin care and lotions do to the damage the do
to the damage the sun does to your skin. Aloe keeps the skins moisture alive, and healing
your skin in the process. While the sun is good for you, you do not want your skin to burn.
3. Take care of your lips during the winter. Aloe and vitamin E are good for lips in healing
with the dry heat in the house and the cold dry air outside.
4. A paradigm shift that many people should make is not showering everyday. Showering
everyday for many people that are not physically dirty or sweaty will be drying out your skin.
For many people, that leads to eczema and and other skin problems. If you have dry skin,
use body lotions that are aloe based. The aloe will pull moisture down into your skin to help
heal and moisturize your skin.
5. Using products with perfumes and dyes in them, irritate many peoples skin. Sticking
to aloe based products will heal the skin..
So in review.
1. Exfoliate
2. Moisturize with aloe when you are going to be in the sun
3. Use aloe and vitamin E on your lips
4. Do not shower daily unless physically dirty or sweaty.
5. Stay away from perfumes and dyes.
Hope this help revive and liven up your skin for the winter. Happy winter.

Boy, It is cold outside.. What to do?
What do you do when it is cold outside? I am not talking about 40F or 20F I am talking 0F
and wind blowing... Well here today the public school doesn 't have school so my high schooler
is at home with the homeschooled kids.
I told them that they have to play games that use math, religion and history skills in them.
This morning they are playing the card game Nickels, which is basically a sequencing game.
They also, came up with the point is that they are not to cheat or fight for Religion. So far,
it is working. Later, they will be making homemade pizza for home ec and then 2 of the kids
will be cleaning a house with me. I told them, if I have to do anything over or they fight, they
will not get the pay we agreed upon. My other child will stay home with the 7 year old and
play games and read books. It is to cold for them to be outside when I am not home.
They could be frozen before is get home if something should happen.
Thank goodness we have L'Bri hand and body cream and body butter to keep our skin from
drying out and the aloe as the first ingredients is so healing.
So what do you do when it is to cold to step outside unless you have to? Let me know and I
will send you a sample hand and body lotion. Take care, keep warm.

Prayers for your Christmas season.
This morning was enjoyed with L'Bri skincare and body care products. They feel wonderful with the healing first ingredient of aloe in every product.
Worked on Christmas cards and my youngest made Christmas presents for everyone.
He made Christmas ornaments out of clay. This year he seems to like working with clay.
They turned out very nice. Send out cards is making other peoples lives happier. I really like them.
This afternoon we made cookies and brownies. When I made the brownies, I put Reese's Peanut
butter cups in them. They are yummy..! The butterscotch oatmeal cookies are the first cookies my son
made almost my himself. He (7 years old) liked the fact that he had strong muscles to stir the batter.
He made very uniform cookies. I still cannot to this day because I am to impatient to get finished.
Tonight we watched it snow and watched a civil war movie. It seems we need to watch
war movies when only the boys are at home. We are suppose to have ice and blowing snow
tomorrow. I hope the rest of you don't have to be part of that. If you can, please pray for
my husband, as he has to get my daughters from camp tomorrow...
Hope that you holiday trimmings are coming together the way you like them. Have a good
Sunday.

Try this experiment.
Aloe brings moisture to the skin.
Drop water droplets on to the back of your hand. Do you see the water just siting there.
Now put aloe on the back of your hand. Notice how the water seeps into your skin.
L'Bri skincare products with aloe help to moisturize skin in this way. Aloe draws water into your skin and
moisturizes your skin. Looking for for moisture
ALOE is the way to go.

Blessed 2nd week of Advent to you all.
There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship. — Thomas Aquinas
My 7 year old and I made and Advent wreath yesterday. We made it with the

Careful, the Kids Are Watching
11/30/2010
If you speak English in your home, your kids are not likely to come out speaking Italian. Children learn through observation and imitation. And they don’t miss a thing. Kids are shaped at the very beginning of life by the way their parents live. They are attentive witnesses of grown-up behaviors. They take their cues from what they see and hear.
Want your kids to grow up with healthy attitudes about money? Start living the way you want them to become. Let your kids regularly catch you in the act of living financially responsible lives and you’ll be on your way to raising financially responsible kids.
You really cannot start too early modeling healthy money attitudes for your kids. Here are 20 ways you can start right now, even if yours are still toddlers:
1. Let them observe that you have money and you take good care of it.
2. Let them see you use money as an ordinary and normal part of life.
3. Let them see you put money in the church offering. Make sure they catch you being generous with others and sharing what you have.
4. Tell your kids stories about the ways God takes care of you.
5. Allow them to see you deposit money in the bank.
6. Let them see the way you pay for groceries with cash.
7. Teach them that money is important in our lives because we can exchange it for things we need and want.
8. Talk about money as casually as you talk about other things like sports and laundry.
9. Use coins to teach your preschoolers to count. It’s effective and acknowledges their curiosity about money.
10. Talk about the different shapes and colors of items in the store. It gives little ones something to do instead of wanting everything they see.
11. While a passenger in the grocery cart, allow your little one to hold the coupons or the list. Talk about finding the best value.
12. Say, "We don’t choose to spend our money that way" more often than you say, "We can’t afford it."
13. Remember, preschoolers are listening and learning from everything they see you do and hear you say.
14. Use coins to teach the different denominations. Three and four-year-olds can learn to put all the pennies into one cup, the nickels into another and so on.
15. Visit the library and park with your preschooler more often than the market or mall.
16. Give rewards of hugs and praise—not money. Creating the expectation of a cash payment at every turn is a habit you’ll regret in adolescence.
17. Monitor television time and opt for non-commercial viewing and DVDs when possible.
18. Let preschoolers participate in household chores to enjoy the security of belonging—not to get paid.
19. Intervene between advertisers and your kids. Preschoolers can’t always tell when the television show ends and the ad begins.
20. Make sure your children grow up knowing that all good things are a blessing from God.

Kimberly's L'bri testimonial..
Congratulations to Our "Love L'BRI" Testimonial Winners Our customers love L'BRI! For beautiful, healthy skin, L'BRI is all you need! We thank the many loyal L'BRI customers who submitted their video and written testimonials. |
In their videos, Michelle and Susan told of the amazing results they enjoyed by using our L’BRI products.
Of all the written testimonials we received, one stood out among all the others. We are pleased to award L'BRI products totaling $300 to Kimberly Schneider of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Here is Kimberly's testimonial:
Okay, so are you tired of spending tons of money on EVERY product you see on the commercials, read in the magazines or see on the store shelves? Only to find, they NEVER do what they say. I got so feed up with this too! I found if the product did work, it stopped working after a week or so.
Then, one day, while at a friend’s house, I saw a L'BRI magnet she had on her refrigerator. I asked her tons of questions, and she then gave me some samples she had from her previous order. She told me she had been using L'BRI for about two years, and LOVED IT!!
So, I went home and tried the cleanser and moisturizer she had given me. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful these products felt on my skin. I have very dry, sensitive skin. The first night I used the samples, my flaky skin felt so soft, and didn't feel tight. I LOVED that. The samples lasted about four days, and in those four days I definitely noticed a great improvement in my skin.
My two daughters, age 20 and 21, also noticed and wanted to try the L'BRI products. I called my friend and asked her to place an order for us. We couldn't wait to get the L'BRI products we purchased. Which reminds me, the prices are very reasonable. What makes it even better is, once you try L'BRI, you will never buy another skin product. L'BRI IS DEFINITELY ALL YOU NEED!!!
It's been about a year now and my daughters and I have no reason to buy anything but L'BRI. We all have very different skin types, but L'BRI does exactly what it says for each of us. My vanity is not all cluttered with expensive lotions or potions that don't do what they say. All that stuff went in the garbage about two2 weeks after my first purchase. L'BRI IS DEFINITELY ALL YOU NEED!! Your skin will feel healthy again, and have a beautiful glow, just like when we were kids. Well, maybe not that far back, but L'BRI has made me look and even feel younger. When you have young, beautiful, healthy skin, you feel confident and happy. L'BRI will do this for you, because L'BRI IS DEFINITELY ALL YOU'LL EVER NEED!!! Thank you L'BRI!!! |
Thank you, Kimberly, for sharing your positive L'BRI experiences.

Don't quit!
When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
and you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit.

Have you had a busy week?
Have you had a busy day cleaning and then you ache all over?
Cleaning a house... is going to give you a good work out. When you clean
for 4 to 5 hours straight you get very warm and all your muscles warm and
loosened up. A day you clean for 4 to 5 hours you do not have to get on
your treadmill.
Well the next day after cleaning you my get very achy. You have had a good work
out. What would you do when you get sore?
Three things that help and achy body are: 1) drink more water and 2) drink pineapple juice
(the bromalein in pineapple takes down swelling) 3) The other thing that I use is Super Aloe.
When in pain try more water, pineapple or pineapple juice and Super Aloe.
Hears to a pain free week.

Many things to say.
This cardinal and his mate have been banging the windows on my house since the beginning of summer.
We have put bags in the windows, kept the curtains pulled.. Nothing works.
I am so happy that I am starting to loose weight. I hope that I can stay motived..
It is time to start using tea again, as it is cold... My friend Bea has great teas that
she makes from her garden herbs... They are delicious.
Aloe lotion is keeping my skin from drying out. I am enjoying feeling soft.
Also, free samples of aloe skincare 7 day supply , postage is only $6.75.
Getting ready for the holidays... Here is a nice craft with peppermint candy.

L'Bri's eye repair in the refrigerator works great for many and you can get your money back if you don't
like it. Here are some more suggestion of what she reviewed and how she felt they worked.

Does life ever slow down....? Hi everyone, I have a computer and my house back to just our family again:)
So many things that I would love to do..
Since my daughter got married... my oldest daughter and my grand baby went home October 1st. Since
they have been home-- my grandbaby has started climbing stairs and got any other tooth (making it 6).
My youngest daughter (4th) has been playing volley ball with our church. They are doing very well for 6th graders and have their tournament this coming Saturday. I love to watch my kids play sports. My 3rd daughter was running cross country until she hurt her ankle again this year. Anyone have any ideas on what to do to make stronger ankles.?
My 3rd son has been working when not in school.. He is painting some days and working on a farm other days. Some of the days he has free he is hauling farm equipment with a friend of his.
My 4th son is doing schoolwork and has joined a homeschool biology group that meets every other Friday. On the way home last time, I got lost .. so we bought a map and he had fun with my 4th daughter navigating us home. They took the long way, but I let them because it was a beautiful day. They learned how
this road was connected to roads that they already knew.
My fourth son loved when we were in the airplane in September going to San Diego, CA. He said mom look. out the window.. I said oh what... He said, "Look at all the circuit boards down there!" He Dad is an electrical engineer and so my son is in tone with what a circuit board looks like and is fascinated with them.
With all these activities going on, I have, also, been cleaning 2 to 4 days a week. Teaching 4 grade CCD. They have a new program this year that is terrific. I am happy things are changing. Teaching skincare and playing Backgammon with my kids. They are much better than I am but, I am learning. Tomorrow night get to meet with the knitting ladies group that I have been with for a year. I haven't seen them for 2 months with the wedding and graduation and house guests.
Looking forward to visiting you all again.

I miss being on here..
I still don't have a computer... We have had county fair this week.. We are going to my daughter's college
graduation next weekend. My L'bri conference is the following weekend... September 25th my daughter is
getting married.
I have been cleaning homes and working L'Bri..
Tomorrow my homeschool kids start school and the two public school kids started last week.
I have been very tired the last few weeks. I am hoping it is because of all the activity...
I am hoping to get a computer by the beginning of October. Miss you all.

Random acts of Kindness
I like this topic that is going around.
Some random acts of kindness I have done in the last week.
Sent cards out to prospective clients for my cleaning business.
Did half of my daughters dishes on Friday. Friday is her day to do dishes.Scratched my sons back...
Took the kids to my moms house so she didn't have to come and get them.
Random acts of kindness others did for me.
Fellow blogger talked to me on the phone for a couple hours. She is a sweet lady.
People have held the door for me at church and a store.
Someone is asking me for an opinon on a job we are to do by the end of the month.
God is great! I thank him for everyday.. good and bad...
My husband and I dancing the polka 2 years ago on our 25th Anniversary.

My computer has died.
We have been dealing with the heat.. and getting ready for county fair. Pre fair judging is next week and the kids need to get their woodworking products finished so the can dry by next Friday.
We are getting ready for school to start, which is the same day the fair is. Public school and county fair starts September 1st. My high school kids go to public school. I am getting ready for homeschooling my 3 younger kids starting Sept. 8th. , just after county fair. The weekend after that we are going to CA for my daughters college graduation, and the weekend after is my L'Bri conference. The 4th weekend in September my college graduate gets married . We are having a barn dance at our home for the reception..
So going to the library to go on the computer everyday is not in the schedule. I hope that I can find a computer that does what I want and I can afford.
I hope those of you that are still enjoying summer have fun. Those of you that are starting school have a good year.
For those of you that pray.. could you please pray for 4 special people in my life that need to learn respect for God and or their family members.
Take care,

Why I love L'bri
I learned about L'Bri pure and natural about 7 years ago... I went to a direct marketing fair...
Met a very nice L'Bri consultant that gave me a sample of L'Bri. I took it home and loved it from day 1.
L'bri has help my skin look young and soft. It has help some scaring go away. It has balanced
out the oil glands and now many people think I am 10 years younger than I am... My kids
friends cannot believe that I am way older than their parents because my skin is not wrinkle or dry.
The aloe gives you energy in the mid afternoon.
So I started sharing L'Bri pure and natural with everyone who knows how important it is to take
care of their face. You will feel wonderful knowing that your face is getting healthier and also,
helping others make some money to help out with the family bills.
So let me help you live the American dream while having beautiful skin.

Itchy Mosquitoes
Have you ever used aloe to get rid if the sting and itch of mosquito bites?
This year we have been using aloe for mosquito bites. The aloe that goes
deep into your skin to heal your skin also, goes down and pulls out the
poison to and releaves the itch... We have use it all summer and it releaves
the itch and leave no scaring.
