I was reading a blog post were a lady did any experiment with different things to take down swelling.

Debbie, a good tip for getting rid of puffy or swelling under the eyes regardless what kind of product you are using.
Wet and place into a plastic bag and freeze a few cotton swabs or q-tips...instead of using your fingers to apply the product, use the swab...still frozen,( don't put the swab into the product container.) just gently start at the inside corner and sweep slowly under the eye and out the outside corner. ( not back and forth ) until the swab is no longer cold. ( or use the swab first and then pat the product onto the eye area afterward.
