Looking out the window... you would think that it is Easter

This year we didn't have any snow for Christmas.  I am happy in the respect that it makes it easier to drive.
We went to my parents house Christmas Eve.  It was fairly quiet evening.  All the grand kids are old enough
to help.  My mom actually sat down this year and let us serve her.
My youngest daughter went to my moms house a week before Christmas and made 22 dozen cookies in 2 days. My mom had a hard time believing that my 12 year old daughter is very capable in the kitchen. I enjoy having fun with my kids in the kitchen.

Christmas day we helped out with the dinner at Church.  I like helping others ... the kids and my husband helped too.  Then we came home and celebrated at home.  I found many things that the kids wanted at resale shops and so the kids got what they wanted at a fraction of the cost   for Christmas.  They were all happy. My daughter got an ice cream maker and so we had homemade sherbet on Christmas day.

Wishing you all a Blessed 4th Day of Christmas...

It has been a crazy year.

Friends sick, Friends die...

Kids playing softball,  kids playing volley ball.

Kids doing 4-H projects,

Husband getting more responsibility at work.

I have been cleaning houses all year and homeschooling.

We had a garden this year. It was fun to be in the garden again
seeing as my baby is now 8 years old.

My oldest has a little one that will be 2 in January and is due with baby
number 2 in April.

Life is slowly turning back into fun.

Hoping and praying for a Christmas miracle in my family.

Praying for my son-in-laws to get jobs.

Praying for my husband to get the promotion he has been working for.

Praying for all friends on and off line that God Blesses them in the new year.

Blessed Christmas to you all.

Busy weekend.

Friday I spend sending cards.  They are so fun to make.

Saturday morning I spent time with my 4-H knitting kids.
It is so much fun.  One of my boy knitters made a knit hat
and now he is going to make a checker board blanket
and checkers.  How fun is that !

Saturday night my husband and I went to see the 3Penny Opera
at the college in town. It was fun. We haven't be to a play in 27 years.
The kids are growing up and now we can start having fun again.

Sunday we went to church, had a wonderful lunch and then
played the game of  Life with the kids and watch a movie on Micheal Angelou
and Leonardo DaVinci.  I didn't know that Leonardo was also,
and inventor.
We also, watch NASCAR.  I am not much into that so I was knitting
my sweater. I have about half of it finished.   I am having so much fun
with knitting again like I did when I was a kid... years ago.

Send me a card or a note. I would love to hear from you. What did you
do for your weekend.

Five steps to Rejuvenate dry skin.

Dry skin is very irritating especially in the winter months.

Here is what many people find help give life back to your skin.

1.  Drink water,  Drink at least 8 - 8oz glasses of water a day.
Some say drink half your weight in ounces of water each day.

2. Humidify your home... if not during the day, make sure you
humidify at night.  What we find works well is to put a damp
towel in each room that someone is sleeping in.  By morning
the towel is dry and everyones throats and nose are still hydrated
     and helps prevent bloody noses.

3.  Take warm, not hot showers or baths... While in the shower, use
an exfoliater.   Ex foliating can be done,
with L'Bri's ground almond exfoliator  and/or loofa sponge, or
wash cloth.  Use them gently to remove all the dead skin.  Dry skin
is dead skin.  The more dead skin is removed,  the better you will feel.

4. .When you get out of the shower pat part - way dry and then put on an
aloe base lotion body butter.  The aloe will bring moisture down into your
skin to  heal and moisturize your skin. Using Aloe is proactive in keeping
your skin moisturized.  Don't just use Aloe when you skin is sore or dry.

5. To heal dry skin use pure aloe... If you let your skin crack, and dry out to
much it will be come irritated.  Irritated skin eventually, become infected.
If this happens, put on pure aloe for a few days and it should heal.

Remember your skin needs moisture. So keep it healthy with water and aloe.

Try our aloe based products today.

Describe the last time you and your kids had a laugh attack

Today my kids and I were eating lunch and everyone started acting silly.
My son loves to scare me but I can never get one up on him.
Today I saw a play ant on the floor, carefully picked it up and put it on
his head without him knowing.  A few minutes later he stretched and
it (the ant) fell on the floor. He jumped and everyone laughed. Then
he was in the outer room getting ready to go outside and I was on the other
side of the curtain. He came in to use a chair to get dressed, I was standing there
and he jumped out of his skin. rofl.  I have never been able to scare in in
a long time... He was laughing so hard and so was everyone else.

Tell of the time... you all had a good laugh.

Dare to dream  and laugh

Who are the 2 most important people that influenced your life?

For me I believe that it was two of my grandfathers.

The one grandfather, on my mothers side, was having dinner with us for a couple of
weeks one summer. My grandmother was in California helping my aunt with a knew
baby.  One day while my Grandfather was there my dad asked to see my report card
that I had gotten that day.  I was crying because I got a D in History.   My grandfather
took me in his arms and told me it was ok. He knew that I did my best and that he
still loved me.

My other grandfather, on my dad's side,  was always happy.  He loved seeing people
and told us if ever we needed help with anything , to ask.  He would save newspapers
and cans for our 4-H found raisers.  He would buy pizzas.  Most of all he loved us and
would help anyone.

My grandfathers showed love all the time.

Who influence you the most?  Why?

What time of day do you get the most done?

My day.
I get up and check email... get the kids up and we start school work.

Then we eat, put in laundry and do up some dishes.

Back to school work and blogging.

Helping with school work and then eating.  The kids go outside and feed animals and play.
While I am picking up and then finishing some laundry or I exercise while they are outside.

They come in and finish school work and work on projects.

We make dinner and do some cleaning jobs.   We play games... lately it has been card
games and jigsaw puzzles.

Dinner and then projects or away from home things ie... 4-H, meetings etc.

So the answer to the above question for me is morning.

What does your day look like?

Tell me about your happy day :)

Today I spent the day with my 7 year old son.  We went to Mass this morning together and he talked
all the way there.  It is so amazing what kids can come up with.  Talking about phonics sounds to the
low flying air craft outside.  He says to me would it be fun if we had a helicopter so we could get where
we are going faster.

After Mass, while still at the retreat center, he got to go sledding and play different games inside.
He thought he was going to be board there, but on the way home he was telling me about all the
fun he had.  We were going to go home about 2 but we were having so much fun we didn't even look
at the clock until 3:15.

When we got home we made home made sub sandwiches.
So what kind of fun did you have this weekend?

Dare to Dream and have Fun!

Have you used aloe for anything besides burns, if so, what?

Have you used aloe for anything besides a burn?
This weekend I used it for infection.  We washed
the infected area and then put the aloe on it.
It burned a few seconds and within 23 hours the
infection was gone.  As aloe heals from the inside out.

What have you used aloe for?  Looking forward to
your answers.

What do I like about winter?

A post from a couple of years ago

True be told, I don't really like winter.. It is too cold and I don't like driving in snow...
If I don't have to go anywhere, snow is pretty... If it is 20 degrees or warmer, I am willing to go out side and play with the kids.  Yesterday they were playing in the snow. Today it was to cold... 0  degrees. Brr...

I like the trees with the snow sitting on the branches...The snow makes everything look bright and clean.
Winter also, brings tea parties and baking bread.  Wheat bread, Candy cane bread, etc...

I like to knit and this is the time of year that I knit... I will be teaching knitting to 4-H kids this year.  It will be fun to get back to it.  When I was in 4-H, I would knit a lot.  I was fairly good and now I have to get back into practice. I made many sweaters through the years.  Since I have had kids, I haven't had time to do much knitting.  All my kids know how to knit scarves, slippers and wash clothes. I love cotton wash clothes. When you make cotton wash clothes, make sure that you soak them in salt water before using them.  This will set the dye so you don't end up with a wash cloth that fades.  (2011)  This year I finished a prayer shawl to give to lady who
fell and hurt her rotator cuff.

Intense moisturizer set... wonderful for winter skin
